Autumn Hair Trends 2025

As the air cools and layers come out, your hair deserves its own seasonal switch-up. This autumn, it’s all about warmth, texture and easy confidence, with colours that glow, cuts that move and natural shapes that do their own thing. We’ve spoken to our stylists and here’s what’s trending across Blue Tit London’s salons this season.

Copper hair colour – ever perennial

Copper hair is an autumn classic. Every year it returns with new depth, dimension and energy. From deep auburns to soft strawberry tones, it’s one of the most versatile and flattering colours you can choose. Cooler coppers create a rich, moody feel, while warmer tones give a lighter, more vibrant glow. Copper works beautifully on curly textures and darker skin tones, adding warmth and reflection as the light changes through the season.
For a lower-commitment update, a glossing treatment using Oway’s HNectar range adds pigment and shine while deeply hydrating the hair. It’s perfect for clients who already have balayage or highlights and want to refresh their colour without damage.

What our stylists say:
“With copper, there are clear differences between cool and warm tones. Cooler coppers feel darker and moodier, while warmer ones bring light and vibrancy. I love adding a violet undertone to keep it soft and natural, making every shade of copper feel bespoke.”

Honey bronde and cherry cola – syrup shades

Syrup tones are the warm, glossy shades defining this autumn. Think Cherry Cola, Honey Bronde and everything in between. These colours bring life back to post-summer hair, adding warmth and shine that flatters every skin tone. Cherry Cola is deep, dramatic and perfect for cooler complexions, while Honey Bronde adds ribbons of golden warmth with a softer, low-maintenance grow-out.
What our stylists say:
“Cherry Cola is one to watch this autumn, a deep red with a cool edge that feels bold but wearable. For something softer, Honey Bronde brings warmth back to post-summer hair with golden ribbons that grow out seamlessly.”

Ripped bobs and 90s layers – undone or polished

This autumn, bobs, bangs and layers take centre stage. The focus is on movement and effortless shape, think the ripped bob, with texture and volume that looks perfectly undone. The 90s-inspired layered cut is also making a comeback, full and bouncy with face-framing movement. These styles are versatile, wearable and easy to grow out, ideal for anyone who wants to feel put-together without trying too hard.
What our stylists say:
“This autumn it’s all about bobs, bangs and layers. The ripped bob gives you that effortless, undone vibe, like the French bob but grittier. Then there’s the 90s layers revival: full, bouncy and face-framing.”
Ricky Forrest, Stylist at Blue Tit Blackheath

Cropped hair – soft power cuts

Very short hair is having a moment again. Cropped cuts are sleek, sculpted and designed to show off the face. The look is bold but soft around the edges, balancing masculine and feminine energy for a confident, modern finish. Inspired by icons like Teyana Taylor, this trend is all about precision and individuality.
What our stylists say:
“One of the biggest trends right now is having fun with your hair while keeping it true to you. Short, sculpted cuts with soft edges are about balancing masculine and feminine energy, like Teyana Taylor does so well.”
Areeb Qaiser, Stylist at Blue Tit Streatham

Natural hair styling – texture reigns

Natural texture is taking the lead this season. It’s all about embracing the volume, the fluff, and the individuality of your real hair. Whether brushed-out curls, waves or coils, texture is being worn proudly and freely, think less polish, more personality. This look celebrates authenticity, giving hair space to move and breathe.
What our stylists say:
“It’s been amazing seeing people embrace their natural texture again. Those brushed-out curls and fluffy shapes feel real and empowering.”
— Areeb Qaiser, Stylist at Blue Tit Streatham
