The Blue Tit Classic Cutting course is designed to refine your skills in our nine signature haircuts, focusing not just on how to execute them, but also on understanding the “why” behind each technique. This deeper knowledge will empower you to confidently handle any haircut and navigate even the most challenging client requests with ease in the salon.

The Blue Tit Classic Colour course introduces you to the full O-Way Hsystem range, giving you a solid understanding of how our ammonia-free colours work. You’ll learn smart, efficient techniques we’ve developed to help you work more effectively, along with plenty of tips, tricks, and the chance to ask questions—so you can approach colour with confidence.

The Blue Tit Short Hair course is designed to help you master the art of cutting short hair, guiding you through the essential techniques and key principles needed to approach each cut with confidence. We also focus on the art of consultation—helping you guide clients through realistic expectations, especially when multiple sessions may be needed to achieve their ideal look.

The Blue Tit Colour Correction course teaches you how to approach corrective work, whether you’re taking hair lighter or darker. You’ll learn how to apply our classic colour theory to achieve great results, along with how to carry out effective client consultations and price your services accurately and confidently in the salon.

The Blue Tit Bleaching course introduces you to the different bleaches we use at Blue Tit and how to choose the right products with confidence. You’ll learn a straightforward yet highly effective technique that gives you maximum control during the bleaching process. The course also covers essential toning methods, key points to remember when toning hair, and how to conduct thorough consultations and price your bleaching services confidently in the salon.

The Blue Tit Fading course is designed to help you master the art of fading and build confidence in blending fades to perfection. We’ve developed techniques that cover everything from low fades to high fades. The course also touches on when and why to use different types of fades, along with how to properly maintain your clippers, ensuring you stay confident in all aspects of fading.

The Afro and Textured Hair 3-day course is designed to introduce and familiarise you with working on afro and textured hair, covering cutting, styling, best practices, and the right products to use. You’ll learn the techniques that ensure the best results while working with different textures.

Blue Tit Academy Director

Tom is the Academy Director at Blue Tit London. He started his journey by enrolling in the Blue Tit Academy, where he developed a passion for hairdressing and technical precision.

Over the years, Tom has advanced through the ranks, now leading the Academy and serving as a global educator. His teaching philosophy combines classic techniques with contemporary styles, equipping students with solid technical foundations while encouraging creative expression.

Tom’s trademark vintage looks have also grown his online presence in recent years, drawing inspiration from old British subcultures. His dedication to education has led him to teach internationally, with an upcoming tour in Australia in 2025.

Afro & Textured Hair Educator

Pash is the lead educator for Afro and textured hair at Blue Tit London, where he oversees training across all salons in styling, cutting, and texture release techniques.

He also leads the Afro & Textured Hair 3-Day Course at the Blue Tit Academy, teaching stylists the fundamentals of working with textured hair.

Pash is passionate about inclusivity and advocacy in premium hairdressing and strives to promote diversity and excellence in the industry through both his education and broader community work.

Blue Tit Educator & Cutting Specialist

Leanne’s journey into hairdressing started with theatrical styling but soon evolved into a passion for precision cutting.

As a Blue Tit educator, she specialises in cutting with disconnection, a course she created that blends classic techniques with modern innovation.

Leanne has taught advanced cutting techniques at international events, including Salon International and Oway and Wella shows in Europe and India. She believes in strong fundamentals to unlock creative freedom, empowering stylists through education.

Blue Tit Educator & Cutting Specialist

Gemma is friendly, attentive and warm and a true Peckham local who’s carrying on the family tradition, following in her mum’s footsteps as a stylist in the ’80s and ’90s.

She’s all about bold 60s-inspired cuts, think bowl cuts and boxy bobs, perfectly refined. A cutting specialist and mod-era enthusiast, she loves rich, light-catching tints to match. From being on the stage at Salon International, sewing vintage patterns at home to leading cutting classes in Blue Tit’s Academy, Gemma lives and breathes creativity (and bowl cuts!)

Blue Tit Educator, Level 3 Stylists & Colourist

Nancy’s is fab with thick hair, she’s all about bouncy blow-dries, balayage, highlights and bringing out your best features with a killer cut.

She’s done editorial work with Wella and has a real passion for mentoring and training new stylists.
