Spring/Summer 2027 hair trends from London Fashion Week

Creative Director Tom Warr was joined by a team of eight from Blue Tit London to create the looks for Maximilian Raynor’s SS27 catwalk show. Pashcan’el, our textured hair educator, Leanne, our most senior educator, Stevie, who’s right at home backstage with session styling, colour educators Talia and Maia, Kamila from Blue Tit Portobello, and new trainees Benne and Margaret all brought their expertise to the show.

Tom cited five key wearable hair trends that we’re going to see crossing over from the catwalk to the salon, so here goes…

Look 1: the 90s middle part

Features long hair with a clean middle parting, sculpted and tucked tightly behind the ears at the front, paired with natural texture and movement through the back.

Tom Warr says, “We modernised a classic ’90s flat-ironed look by creating contrast between a slick, sleek front and a textured back…. Talia created the back texture by using a tong to add natural-looking kinks and scrunching in next day cream”.

Trend 2: the Beckham

Maximilian Raynor 90s hair

Referencing 90s David Beckham, featuring a prominent curtain fringe and a grown-out length through the back.

Tom says, “We updated the style for a modern era by introducing an undone, grown-out loose texture rather than maintaining the precise neatness of original ’90s versions.”

Products used: Oway x Blue Tit Next Day Cream and Oway Precious Wax

Look 3: the low knot

Middle parting with a undone but elegant low knot positioned at the nape with loose ’90s-inspired long hair framing pieces left out at the front.

Tom says, “We styled this look to create a clean, controlled updo while incorporating retro framing pieces around the face.

Products: Oway’s Molding Mist and Next Day Cream.

Look 4: TWA with micro bangs

TWA or Teeny Weeny Afro defined by a micro curly fringe and shiny curls.

Tom Warr explains, “We styled the bangs by adding more product so it pushed or weighted the hair down slightly and made it straighter than the rest of the hair and the natural curl pattern.”

Products Used: Oway’s Curl-defining range.

Look 5: textured fringe bob

A full-textured long box bob with a heavy, eyebrow-framing full fringe and expanded undone texture.

Tom Warr says, “The model came in with great natural hair texture, we built upon the model’s natural hair texture to add more fullness while eliminating unwanted frizz.

Products Used: Volumizing texture puff and Finest Fluid.

Stylist: Leanne. Catch Leanne at Blue Tit Peckham
