Blue Tit London takes the main stage at HairCon 2026

Forget standard, clinical hair industry trade shows. When the Blue Tit London creative team heads North, they bring the full force of London’s subculture scene with them.
This June, the O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester was transformed into a high-energy playground of avant-garde cuts and botanical-inspired aesthetics for HairCon 2026. The Blue Tit London collective took over the main stage to deliver unfiltered inspiration that has completely rewritten trend mood boards.
Blue Tit London’s creative team & their looks
To give you a proper look into the talent shaping the future of your hair, we’re breaking down the main-stage creations alongside the Stylists behind them.
Tom Warr – Creative & Academy Director

The person behind the brand’s creative compass. Tom is a household name for trend-led, subculture-inspired cuts. Drawing heavily from vintage British street style, he pairs technical precision with a relaxed, undone aesthetic that feels effortlessly London. For HairCon, Tom pulled double duty to deliver two drastically different, high-impact looks.
Look 1 – The punk crop

The Vibe: 70s Bowie edge meets soft romantic.
The Details: A beautifully shattered pixie-mullet hybrid featuring a texture-heavy crown, an ultra-short micro fringe, and raw, wispy sideburns that add an effortless street-style sharpness.
Look 2 – The cyber tracks buzz
The Vibe: Cyberpunk minimalism
The Details: Taking the classic buzz cut to a completely new dimension, this look features architectural, horizontal wave ridges precision-carved.
The Colour: An icy, futuristic metallic silver with a subtle undertone of sage mint, catching the stage lights perfectly on every single edge.

Pashcan’el Mitchell

Pash is the driving force behind the Blue Tit Academy’s afro and textured hair curriculum. Pushing boundaries and thinking entirely outside the box, his main-stage demonstrations are an absolute masterclass in celebrating, shaping, and amplifying natural texture with maximum creative scale.
The look: The sculptural textured cascade

The Vibe: High-octane, regal, and sophisticated.
The Details: A celebration of natural texture. The hair is swept back into an elegant, high-volume crown updo, before using a hair piece that cascades down the back into a gravity-defying cloud of curls and organic volume.
The Styling: Pure luxury with an organic finish. It’s structured to frame the face while allowing the raw, cloud-like silhouette to do all the talking.

Mads Ruus

After over a decade cementing their status as a key educator and Global Creative Director in London, Mads recently exported the Blue Tit London vibe overseas to open our first international salon in Copenhagen. Their aesthetic is a flawless mashup of clean Nordic minimalism and raw East London edge.
The look: The sunset shag

The Vibe: Lived-in rock ‘n’ roll texture.
The Details: A beautifully undone, long shag with face-framing layers. It’s all about touchable, gritty texture that thrives on real-world movement.
The Colour: Caught from every angle on stage, this features a striking, hand-painted sunset dip-dye. A deep, natural brunette root effortlessly melts into bleeding panels of vibrant coral pink and warm apricot that look just as dimensional from the back as they do from the front.

Leanne McCarthy

Transitioning from creative theatrical styling roots into precision cutting, Leanne is behind the Blue Tit Academy’s popular ‘Disconnection Cutting’ course. She blends classic structure with sharp, modern innovation to build versatile shapes that look incredible on stage and in the real world.
The look: The mint block bob
The Vibe: High-fashion, graphic, and unapologetically blunt.
The Details: A glassy, liquid-smooth, graduated bob, with internal layering. The parting is razor-straight, creating a strict, face-sculpting frame and classic bob profile.
The Colour: A strong, horizontal block panel of pastel mint green dipped perfectly along the perimeter. It’s clean, geometric, and artfully disruptive to the eye.

The look: The bound hair tapestry

The Vibe: High-concept structural symmetry.
The Details: Stevie demonstrated pure precision on stage, crafting a liquid-sleek, middle-parted base meticulously wrapped and bound at the nape.
The Architecture: The bound ponytail anchors a hidden horizontal frame that expands across the shoulder blades, from which hangs an immaculate, curtain-like tapestry of hair mimicking a luxury macramé piece. The hair melts from deep midnight indigo into cascading waves of metallic lavender, dusty lilac, and soft sunset peach.
