Celebrating the Versatility of Afro-Textured Hair by Michael Kent Blue Tit Brixton

In this collection from February 2025, Michael Kent wanted to explore the transformative nature of afro and textured hair by working with, rather than against the natural texture. The catalyst for this was the theme of metamorphosis.

Natural-looking, effortless waves aren’t going anywhere and are ever popular, providing a laid-back vibe that’s stylish.

Pashcan adds. “We like adding more structure in the shape of your cut for a modern form of Afro.”

Short Hair, Don’t Care

“Shorter cuts, like pixies with textured tops… offer volume and slicked fun edges” says Pashcan’el Mitchell.

Big style in short packages is a key trend from TWAs to grown-out pixies and short-as-you-dare styles with texture.

The Fringe Has It

Pash also states, “I’m seeing a lot of fringe styles that are easy-going and textured… They complement curly, weave and straight hair framing the face.”

We were inspired and created these strong looks with beaded pieces – seriously next-level. Just wow.
